Pensions Review

The SIB had ruled that the financial services industry had not provided best advice on pensions over a long period. As a result, the SIB together with the PIA, instigated ‘the pensions review’. To help IFAs conduct ‘the pensions review’, a group of leading pensions providers joined forces to bring IFAs practical help and support.

They commissioned a software package to help IFAs comply with the review. The software assisted with compliance assessment, production of standard letters and reports, information gathering, record keeping and, more importantly, it provided loss and redress calculation routines.

The programme was supported by an extensive marketing communications and training programme aimed at IFAs and influencers in the industry developed, orchestrated and managed by dda. The integrated marketing campaign combined trade press advertising with direct marketing.

Initially, dda identified a target audience of approximately 11,000 people in IFA firms and set about the construction of a fully functioning direct marketing database, commencing with a launch mailing. In addition, we undertook the media planning and campaign management to build awareness on a broader scale.

A Registration Hotline was set up to receive telephone enquiries and build the Registration Database. This was followed by the mailing of a Registration Pack produced by dda for the software, which was subsequently distributed, to registered sites over a number of phases together with training and help packages.

dda handled all aspects of the marketing communications programme as part of what was one of the most extensive and important campaigns ever mounted to the industry.

dda successfully partnered IFA Pensions Review for over 10 years with a wide range of activity including advertising, direct marketing, design and print, public relation services, mailing programmes, telemarketing, response handling and fully integrated campaigns.
