Iberia Airlines

Iberia is the national airline of Spain flying to over 102 destinations in 39 countries. With its code-sharing arrangements, you can add another 90 destinations.

dda have partnered Iberia Airlines on a number of trade initiatives including P.O.S material, merchandising items and trade promotions aimed at crucial travel agent and tour operator audiences.

Travel agents are constantly inundated with promotional literature and items to the point of saturation so it was vital to create materials with impact and functionality to serve as a constant reminder of Iberia’s services. Items have included desk mats carrying a route map, credit card size schedules, desk calendars, branded post-it note pads, rulers and wall posters.

Another way to court an agent is via incentives. To encourage travel agents to recommend Iberia as their airline of choice to Spain, Latin America and South Africa, dda created the ‘Secret Shopper’ campaign. Firstly we advised travel agents about the scheme which involved the Iberia Sales Team posing as potential travelling customers – dropping into travel agencies randomly to enquire about flights. If the travel agent recommends Iberia to Spain, Latin America or South Africa; they are offered a prize there on the spot. This generated a significant uplift in agent bookings.
